Hey guys,
Now look, first off an apology, I know I'm 6 days late with my post. I had been planning to do it for a while, but it has just been a hectic week.

Sorry.
So, next onto WHY I was late; (it does tie in, I PROMISE) so among other things, I decided I would try my hand at making a ye olde YouTube video. I instantly take my metaphorical hat and anything else metaphorical off, to all YouTubers, especially the unsuccessful ones.
This is for many reasons, firstly because of how blooming difficult it is!(yes I said blooming, I wasn't saying that to myself believe me!) Secondly because of how fudging long a video takes to upload, and finally to all those who don't get the exposure they desire, because of how disheartening it can be.
Now I know you want to know where you can find this most amazing video wot took me like forever and stuff, and the answer is, nowhere.
That's right, after all that time, I decided to scrap it and start again.
BUT,
Ask me where you can find it again on Wednesday and I may give you another answer.
Oh I am dreadfully sorry I'm rambling.
Fame... fame... fame...
OH!
Yes.
So I decided to talk about fame this week because with my new found interest in YouTube (it's not new found, I've had an account for 2 years) I decided that I would have a look at the most subscribed people on this new fangled website.
Well I didn't quite know how to feel about what I found.
On the one hand, THANK GOODNESS there are some people in this world who can be 'famous' through talent, and aren't just related to someone who was friends with someone who knew someone who could juggle.
On the other hand, there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people who DON'T get any recognition for their brilliant talents.
Whilst I feel that YouTube is a brilliant platform for people of any ages to showcase themselves to the world, it is so seemingly easy to become a star now, more and more people are aspiring to fame and are being disappointed when their dreams don't become reality in the scale that they were expecting.
This argument is perhaps not the one you were expecting from me, as many people know me as being 'the one who makes a big deal out of everything', paparazzi and treating famous people as animals is one of those topics which I don't often discuss as it's assumed that I find it in extremely bad taste and hypocritical. So with the title of fame, it may have been assumed that I was going to have this rant.
Instead I'd like to send my sincerest apologies to those who are so often bitterly disappointed at their lack of viewership (is that a word?), not because they don't do great stuff, but because they can't get themselves seen.
Related to this, is the topic of our insignificance in the universe.
I suppose that if you look at it one way, being seen by thousands of people, makes your life worth living. But on the bleaker side, those thousands of people are just as insignificant as you.
This is a view that some philosophers take, but surly it doesn't matter about the rest of the universe, all that matters is what is happening in OUR little world (or at least it seems that way sometimes).
And so, my thought for this blog, is one of acceptance. Acceptance of yourself, and of things we can't change (doesn't mean we can't try though).
Acceptance though, is VERY different to putting up with something. Acceptance is about really looking for the things that you are happy with in your life and allowing them to be (I know, I know, I sound like a hippy).
Not everyone can be famous (otherwise there'd be no such thing!), and besides, fame costs!
Everyone always judges famous people, even if they don't want to.
We feel that famous people have to live up to the person set by their fame (either a character or a personality) and it is extraordinarily difficult for them to do so every hour of every day.
Another song quote coming up!
'Always look on the bright side of life...'
(Listen to the whole song, it'll cheer you up)
And one last thing.
See the problem with me writing this post 6 days late, means that I've got to write another one tomorrow!
Lucky you!
Be as happy as you can,Phil.
